My wife had just broken up some Ice bags.......

right, sure, we all believe that.

Actually, if I was cooking, that would make sense, as the ice could be used to cool the burns, and put out the fires.

Hammer, that must be what's wrong with my fried eggs.

Those look real real good, Tom.

It does look very good. We used to make pizza all the time, but never made the crust. Bought a Boboli crust, brushed it with olive oil, garlic, etc., then added the sauce and cheeses and meat. They taste really good, much better than store bought or delivery.

Wow, those look good. Last time I tried making pizza I started a fire:(:o Cycle17 gave me a recipe to make them, but i'm still having flashbacks of the last pizza making debacle.

Tasty. did you make the dough, too?

crackerjab

What did you use to make the dough? I use Martha White brand pizza dough mix. Works pretty well. I would recommend getting a pizza stone. There's a good chance you will thank me for it later.

We have home-made pizza every week or two, and use a bread machine to make the dough. You can get a bread machine at a garage sale for <$10.

Yummy.

Last time my gf and I tried pizza from scratch, we ended up finishing at about 10:00PM. It's been a while since we've done that one...

Pizza from scratch isn't very hard. Especially if you get the quick rise yeast. Mmmm...

I like it cause we each make our own, which means no yucky mushrooms on mine!!!

Is a protective shed conducive to pepperoni aging?

Yes. And some sort of smoke contraption. And some sort of rotating contraption. Watch The Matrix again, you'll see.

Now I want pizza!

My favourite pizza sauce is made from:

7 or 8 plum (Roma) tomatoes, seeds squeezed out, then chopped into small pieces
fresh basil minced
3 garlic cloves minced
pinch of sea salt
pinch of pepper
couple of tablespoons of olive oil

Mix together in a bowl and let it sit in the fridge for an hour or so.

When the dough is laid out on the pan (or pans) spoon the sauce on top. Add your toppings

Best darn sauce ever!! (And no cooking, so perfect for summer. Oh ok, you have to turn on the oven. But at least it is one less saucepan to wash.)

Undiluted Campbell's Tomato soup. ;)

Tom Stormcrowe

When I make Pizza Sauce from scratch, I blanch and skin fresh tomatoes, puree them, add in some Basil, Oregano, minced Garlic, minced onion and a bit of Olive Oil and cook the puree down into a paste. This requires a double boiler to avoid scorching the paste. I usually make it in batches and package it for freezing in small amounts so I have sauce for the winter.

Sounds like work, Tom :D but tasty tasty work!

Botto:
You're not far wrong. In grade 3 a boy described to our class his favourite supper: Boiled macaroni with ketchup and hotdogs (his mom boiled the hotdogs with the macaroni to save time). When he told us this, I threw up in my mouth a little.
