Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - road/track

Do they sell frames with road geometry but with track drop-outs, as opposed to semi-horizontal?

Also, would those be drilled for brakes?

That brown frame is from the SE Lager which has a very relaxed road geometry. Someone here built one up with that fork and it looks great. I would stay away from the Jury as a trainer. It's designed to run huge tires and crazy long reach brakes or drop bolts are needed. IMO the SE would make a much better trainer.

you should be able to run fenders w/out a problem. The jury has steamroller geo with the exception that it was built with more clearance for tires and fenders.

EDIT: according to Mike at BD, standard reach brakes should work fine in the front, a long reach (70mm+) is required for the back however.

I love my dawes sst (same frame as the brown SE Lager on bikeisland). I have a Kilo TT, and the Dawes SST is much more lax and comfortable to ride. Buy the brown frame on bikeisland, it's the one you're looking for.

great, I want to see one of these built up proper. i would love to have a fixed gear bike that was designed to be comfortable on long rides, sounds like fun!

most of my riding is in the city, shorter hops or even around the entire city is only a couple of hours, and a lot of stop and go. I would love to ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Im contemplating my bareknuckle with rack mounts and fender mounts. and maybe a front disc brake mount gettting added at the same time, why not?

i have bikes for that.
this is being built up as a bike for wet days, snow, and lock ups.

double check on the front brake requirements before you buy. In the Jury thread Mike from BD said a standard R556 brake will work fine (55-73mm), but I don't know if any ol' standard front brake will work.

yeah. a chromed bike makes an excellent beater: durable and resistant to corrosion.
