There are a TON in the Pisgah National Forest. Try www.trails.com. I ended up buying a book with all the trails listed. Everyone was great! Bent Creek, Fish Hatchery, heck, all of em!

dude, you're kidding right???????????? Asheville is the mtb mecca of the east. There's TONS of trails out there, there's Tsali, Pisgah, Bent Creek etcetcetc. I rode Tsali and bent creek while i was there. Its easy to get confused while you're out there so try and get hooked up with a shop ride

God, I wish I livedi n Asheville. Tsali and Pisgah are some of my favorite trails EVER. Make sure to ride at Pisgah (Black Mountain is epic) and Tsali for sure. You could spend 3 weeks riding Pisgah alone. Tsali is a cool place to camp as well. I'm gonna go back up there this summer and shoot the shlt with my buddy and camp out for a week or so. We had a blast last time.

My first pick, Bent Creek! I live in Hickory and ride there every chance I get. It's close to Interstates 40 & 26. Send me an email and I'll get you directions and a jpeg map of the area. You better hope for some dryer weather than we've been having though. Bent Creek's webpage is http://www.srs.fs.fed.us/bentcreek/ though the server has been down. There are a couple of good bike shops downtown and Liberty Bikes on Hwy. 25 is worth checking out. They can put you on to some local trails. Dupont is worth getting to as are the other mentioned. Just depends on how much travel time you can afford.

Well, funny that you ask. I just hate that I saw your post late... Any questions, I can answer. I ride these trails all year 'round, 3x a week. Out of all in the area, I would probably pick Trace Ridge (North Mills River), Little Hickory (Bent Creek), Upper Sidehill (Bent Creek),

Woops.... My water heater just busted! Can't finish my post.... In short they're all pretty darn good around here. The ones in Pisgah Forest (Brevard) are also good, but have alot of lateral roots, and are always muddy, but heck all of them are muddy right now, huh? DuPont has several good ones too. I personally don't like anything @ Tsali.... Not tuff enuf you might say.

Enjoy your visit. I guess you could say that I'm "lucky", since I live within 10 mins. to any of these trails.... Well, somebody has to live around here....

Contact Liberty bicycles when you get there. They can hook you up.

Bent creek is a great local area to Asheville to ride as well as Pisgah. It is easier to get lost in Pisgah than Bent creek so get a book.
