do these fenders:
http://www.velo-orange.com/ho35smfe.html
fit this bike:
http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1183

circle, yes or no

ed: i see there's a chainstay "bridge" which i don't mind drilling; this is a question of fit/clearance. i can make everything else work if necessary.

i'm going to go ahead and ask you to answer me right now.

thanks in advance.

are you certain? because i'm about to buy that frame.

no, but it's got fender mounts, and can accommodate really big tires, yeah? So i would think so. The Bike Direct dude seems to be on here a lot. You should get a hold of him.

ah, ok. but where do you see that it can take big tires?

Couldn't find it on the website, but a lot of the posts & threads about this frame say that it can.

yeah, it'll be cute. kinda stoked, not gonna lie. i pmmed bikesdirect_com, hopefully he'll get back to me. gonna email bikeisland as well.
i've been looking to replace my nishiki conv. as my rain/lockup jam for awhile-- i'm hoping this is a good fit.

It seems like the Jury compares to the Steamroller, so I don't see why fenders would be an issue. The description for the Honjo's say they're made for bikes with minimal fender clearances, which does not seem to be the case with the Jury.

It will never work. Your efforts are doomed.

Unless you are fixed on Honjo mudguards, you could buy the Velo Orange own brand ones. They look pretty nice too. Another pretty mudguard is the Berthoud stainless model. Go mudguards!

they don't come as small. 35mm is a great size for 25mm tires.

I hope you build a townie with the honjos. I'm thinking of doing that for the girlfriend.

I honestly have no idea if they will fit but if they do it will
be a classy build. Thought of the hammertone honjos?

Call Hiroshi at Jitensha Studio if you have questions about which
Honjos will fit--he can probably help.

i'm going to go with the smaller 35mm. i have a set atm; i'm hoping they'll transfer to the jury without too much re-drilling.

no such luck (i think, anyway-- depends on your definition of townie).

going to go with mostly super shiny aluminum or chrome-- including the risers.

sorry.

Yes. A 70mm-90mm brake reach requirement means that you should have plenty of clearance. It will look like this when it is done, minus the gearing if that is your direction:

don't get too excited... i'll post pics just because, but remember-- this is still a beater. the bling will be few and far between (though there will be a few out of the ordinary components going on-- and lots of shiny).

FYI: If the fender is a bit wide where it sits between the chain stays just cut it to fit with some tin snips and remember to file the edges so they don't scratch the frame. Also using cork or rubber washers for the fender install helps keep the rattling to a minimum. Beater or not it will be a fun build and fun ride. Good luck.

i'm assuming it will, but does anyone know if this will work on the jury's fork w/ a 700c rim?

yeap I believe Mike said a standard R556 will work for the fork/front wheel :)

Crimping the rear fender to fit between the stays is a better idea, I think. I use welder's Vise Grips with some duct tape on the jaws to avoid scratching the fender.

fyi, it's a non issue. the frame can fit these fenders and more.

You have no idea what you're getting into. I owned the original Giant Bowery, and the super-shiny made everyone who wasn't a total bike nerd drool. People ignored the crappy cranks, tank-like Alex wheels, and ugly stem/seatpost and just said 'coooOOOOol!

you're entering a world of pain with full coverage/integrated fenders and rear-facing dropouts. you'll find out why the first time you try and remove the wheel. doy!

You definitely might have some problems making aluminum, non qr fenders work with rear facing dropouts, spooki. I'd go with sks p35's with quick release on the rear. The good news is, bikesdirect assured me in an earlier jury thread that the jury will have a drilled chainstay bridge, and you can see it in some photos.
