I am looking into getting a professional bike fit. Does anyone know of any shops that do a particularly good fit? I would prefer something in the Issaquah/Redmond area but might go anywhere in the Seattle area.
i think Sammamish Valley Cycles in redmond has a good fitting program, or so i've heard.

I was fitted by Craig Undem at CycleU in Seattle (Magnuson Park/Sand Point.)
He knows what he's doing.
try Erik Moen at www.bikept.com (http://www.bikept.com).
Erik Moen is in Bejing until September. Nice work if you can get it.

We offer bike fits for performance, comfort, or both. Peter Birkner is our fit expert and can be reached at (425) 427-6383 or peter@velocevelo.com. We're a newer shop and are trying very hard to offer top-notch service.

I'm not sure what fit system they use at Veloce Velo, but from ghunter's previous posts and a couple visits to the shop, they really have listened to their customers in tailoring the shop to what people want. If you're close to Issaquah, I'd give them a call.
If you're closer to Redmond, check out Sammamish Valley Cycles. I had my fitting done there, and they use the Serotta fit system. They'll custom tailor a fitting to your specific style of riding, and the shop's two specialties are tri-bikes and randonneuring. A full 3 hour fit session runs $200, and half of that gets refunded toward the cost of a bike if you buy it there.

We have been using Paul Swift's fit methodology very successfully:

It's not 100% finalized yet, but we are about to pull the trigger on the Cyfac Postural System (works on all bikes with all riders, and not just Cyfac):

We believe this is the most advanced fit system available anywhere today, and adding this to our portfolio will enable us to offer the widest range of fit services in the Pacific NW.

I recently had a great experience at Veloce Velo in Issaquah. The fit process was very extensive and took about 2.5 hours. The person who does the fit process at the shop, Peter, did an great job of explaining what he was looking and why. After the fit I can ride the century rides with much more comfort and power. I would highly recommend the professionals at Veloce Velo. Peter is the Man.

Interestingly enough I was just in Veloce Velo. I just moved to Issaquah (hence the where should I go question). I think I will seek out this Peter fellow and get a fit done.
ghunter did your shop end up getting the new fit system?

It's a complicated story on the other end, but it should be on its way to us now and we'll be ready to start using it in a few weeks. Eric Sakalowsy, who owns Velo Europa will be visiting us in early October to train us on the very extensive CPS system. He's a great guy, so if you'd like to meet him please let me know at graham@velocevelo.com and I'll let you know when he's coming once I know the dates.
