What kind of course is it, flat, rolling, tons of climbing like in Paterson Pass?

Thanks

How steep is the climb? I was wondering if I should bother putting 12/27 on. It came really handy during Paterson RR.
<-- wussie also has compact crank. :D

If you're running a standard crankset, throw the 27 on there for a bailout. The last short bit before the crest of the climb is pretty steep.

Got 2nd there a few years ago. If you can TT and climb, the hill can be your friend. The descent is short, very steep and fast, and technical. If you can climb, descend, then TT, the hill can really be your friend.

It's 400' over about a mile. Flat at the start, flat, rollers, a hill with a false top, downhill, then gradual climb for 4 miles. rollers, steep climb, then steep technical descent, followed by great flat roads back to the start. Repeat.

I have a friend, a fellow cycliste, who works for the county road dept. He promised to sweep the course today.

Plan for heat and a good time.
