Bigchina, I was also wondering about that. I've sent an e-mail to Mtbr asking about this. Also, there are some really idiotic reviews there of which I wonder why they haven't been deleted yet. Anyway, I'll post here when I get the response.

I read this in the mtbr FAQ:
Product Listings: We know our list of products is incomplete and we are working hard to keep our site information up-to-date. We thank you for your patience.

Idiodic reviews are par for the course. They won't remove them as they could add a realistic skew to the survey.

well, its hard to make a comparision since its pretty much all i've had. I'm only 140lbs and im 6' so im light. im not getting as much travel as i'd like to...actually only about half to 2/3 of the 100mm on a pretty aggressive ride. It doesnt seem very plush, seems very springy. too bad my friends all have older manitous, i'd like to know what a high-end fork feels like so i can compare.

The comps ride a bit springy as they have a low end damping system in them. The MX Pro has a better damping for more controlled damping which feels responsive but not overly springy. The MZ is also an OEM only part. You really shouldn't be able to buy it aftermarket which is why it might not show up right away on the reviews.
Bigchina, Try lowering the spring rate and decreasing the weight of the oil. Might help in feel. You are on the ligh end of things so a proper tuned setup would feel better.

the preload or whatever those knobs are are already set to the lightest setting. why are there 2? you can tell i dont know anything about forks. how do i change the oil? is that something i can do myself? ive never done maintenance on a fork, so i dont know where to begin...

There are two because there are two legs. A preload for each.
I would pay a mech to set the fork up for you. Slide him some beer or something to let you watch. It is an easy job but it is good to watch someone experienced as it is DAMN messy. Once you got it, you will find it easier.

It should be possible that one can automatically add the product of choice to the list via a form, or at least be able to send them a suggestion via a form so that they can add it. Although a bit speculative, I think there are like one or two people responsible for the product review list. They can't possibly have enough time to add all of the new products in time.

Well Maelstrom, I don't know about that. I've seen some that really don't add anything realistic or even slightly interesting. Some looked like troll posts. I'll see if I can find some for example. :)

Yeah but how many people review something and give it a glowing review but really don't use it to its extent. For example cranks. "These are super stiff super tough cranks". Well this could be some xc 140pnd mtbiker who barely goes off road reviewing a set of freeride cranks. Well this is just as skewed, so I figure, the the grumpy and discontented review guys belong there to offset happy go lucky everything is perfect review guys.
