I'm ordering the Jury Chrome this week. I'm planning to ride the headset it comes with for the first couple of months, but i'm probably going to swap it out shortly thereafter.
This is my first 1 1/8" bike*, so i'm not sure what's good other than the obvious chris king or colnago. I don't want a to pay +$125 as this is my lockup bike, but it will see rain and crappy weather so i don't want to go too cheap either.
I currently ride an ultegra on my rain bike (overkill? no. it's as slick as the day it was installed-- which was three years ago-- and then reinstalled on another bike 1 1/2 years later), and was hoping for something something of similar quality (and price!) in 1 1/8" threadless.

your suggestions?

*first 1 1/8" build, anyway

Cane creek S-3 is a solid piece of hardware for around $50.

the s8 and technoglide are both similar in quality (at least based on what i'm reading).
they're also both available in polished silver, which is great. unless someone knows of a reason to go with one or the other, i'm pretty much going to flip a coin when the time comes.

I'd just go with the S-3, you said it would be a lock up bike, might as well make it a bit less painfull if it ever does get stolen.
And for the price I don't think you'll notice the difference between the S3 and S8. Unless you can find the S8 for the price of the S3, which can be done according to a google shopping search.
