Hello everyone,

So last week, I decided to pick up a bike from a local private seller through craigslist. It was a 1970 Fuji road bike, a Dynamic 10. It was more than 50% less than what I was going to buy it for from another dealer back a couple of months ago, so I hopped on the deal. I road it by Richmond and Berkeley a couple of times, and it was a sweet ride.

Little did I know that on my way home a few days ago, I would make a left turn off of Broadway (in Alameda), onto Bay view, and get hit by a car that rolled a stop sign. Once I got hit, I immediate sprang up to have the driver get out of her vehicle. She hesitated. Got out, and cussed me out. Telling me how it was my fault. I made her park the car. She came out to yell some more. I called the police. She argued, presumably angry with the way I had nonchalantly described the situation to the dispatch officer. She said she'd call the police herself, and proceeded to her car. She ran; but not before I wrote her license plate number down.

Three days later, we find the alias. She has two warrants out for her arrest (burglary), and the car was a rental. The lady is in her late 50s, early 60s, and white. Who would have guessed grandma would have hit me, ran away, and was a burglar?

Ride safely
