It's almost all black! (or white). the stickers are sorta ghosted and less noticable. I think it's changed from an IS integrated headset to a Zero Stack headset now. Also it's more track specific and not road specific like the old 720TR. the geometry is now different. and it's also $189 now..

so.. what do you guys think? is it too "track" for a first SSFG build?
cizzlak

It definitely isn't too "track" for the track... Kinda makes me want to take up GTAW in my sleep...
looks good. just don't put the track fork on it and then jump off curbs.

this is exactly what i was waiting for from leader. but i have a sizing question for the frame. when i went to my lbs and got sized up they said i should be on a 56cm frame with a 579mm toptube. but looking at the sizing for the new leader frame it seems i am inbetween sizes. should i go for the 55cm with a 567mm toptube or the 58cm with a 584mm toptube?

Does anybody know if the 721tr frame has a hole for a rear break? The "pure track geometry" does not implicate that but I was just wondering. Any information on the frame weight? On the leader homepage I could not even find the new frame or any information on it yet.

I feel like some filler w/ a tig and some grinding could make this look good
but ****...even flat paint can't hide the poor welds haha

... brakes are not kosher on the track. If there are brake holes on this frame, it is no longer "pure" or "true" anything but a crappy frame with track ends.
Oh, and it's brake.

i know this a noob question but what makes them poor welds? i guess ive come from seeing cylcecross bikes and sturdier bikes with similar welding.

Welds look about right for a sub $200 frame.
I rather like it for a cheap aluminum frame--- no compact geometry, no inappropriate braze-ons or cable stops. Then again, how cheap is it, with the fork and headset?

I'd ride it if I needed a budget frame. Probably stiff. Plenty good
power transfer.

i went on a moon ride last night and some guy had the older one (with the stupid huge dropouts) and other than the dropouts i really liked it. i have the leader forks (aluminum) and there stuff is awesome. i will be getting one of these.

Nice to see there is talk about the 721TR. Check out the white frame too.
721TR will be posted on the Leader site on Monday. We expect to have extra part options for our fixie and track specific frames in a few months. Wheels with tires, sprockets, headsets, bar, stem, caliper options, chain, and crank sets.
Welding on the 721TR frames are impeccable. Photos do not do justice to the frames.
If anyone has any questions for Leader please e-mail us contact@leaderbikeusa.com
Here is a nice write-up of our other model the 720TR by JSC cycles

Thank you everyone here on the forum.

This is complete BS!:crash:
Check out EAI Bareknuckle frames. Perhaps not pure. But Great for track, great for road. NOT crappy.
looks better than the new 735. that thing is hideous.

But how will it ever slice through the wind without an axe-head on the headtube?!
The chainstays are The result is a frame that has more wind-cheating qualities than other entry-level track frames but does not sacrifice lateral stiffness in either the critical bottom bracket junction but also stiff in the equally critical head tube junction.

^^^ Owned, awesome.
an english teacher's worst nightmare.
Man those are some chunky welds in that pic...they may be functional, but they're very uh...eyepopping.
I like the understated logo.
pssstt it's a ....Leader...don't tell anyone

What is the weight on these frames like? As far as an aero aluminum frame goes (which I generally dislike, I like the look of these and would consider riding one, actually..

look again, it's a bad copy and paste job.

Looks about as good as my track pro welds and that's a frame that has carried more than a few people to nationals.

I have a FTP sitting next to me and they do look about as good. Certainly on the same level or (this is gonna hurt...) BETTER than the welds on the 2005 Pista Concept I had.

how the **** do you people pass middle school english classes?
what? that's perfectly functional internet grammar. he may be running sentences like a marathon, but it's better than most on here.
and yeah, this frame is awesome. it's hard to choose a more expensive bike over this because it seems like such a good deal. i'd love to see one built up with a track cf fork.
Looks nice... Good price.... Never ridden Aluminum track...
Is there room for another fixie for me?

I don't know what you're trying to get at. The welds on the 2005 Concept were not good. Especially in the seattube cutout (which is done in a different way for Track Pros).
