WOO-HOO!

I had the best ride in the world this morning. I finally got to escape the excessive heat and head for the Beechmont Range (the place where I first got into cycling seriously). It was awesome. That is pretty much all I wanted to say.

:D

Where the hell is my gorilla gun!? It's hard to imagine somebody complaining about excessive heat when it's like 20deg outside! :( Any time you want to trade places for a while Mr. Spanky, just PM me. :D
But seriously, sounds like a great ride. Wish I could have been there too. I'm just jealous...;)

Today I genuinely felt sorry for all those people who slept in and mist out on what I had. :D

Hey! Chris, Glad you had a good ride and escaped the heat.

I've got a question for you. In this mornings crossword, they referred to the Bush in Queensland as "Never Never" How come you never have? And can you explain why they call it that?

Since you're a day ahead of us Northerners, I hope you are enjoying your Christmas.:)

I posted a link to a dictionary of Australian slang expressions in the "Tourist season" thread, so that might explain a few things for you. To be honest I'm not quite sure where the expression comes from. Maybe it comes from the fact that Australia is the most urbanised country in the world, suggesting that most Australians never never go near the place, but I really wouldn't know.

Isn't the place where Peter Pan lives called Never Never Land. The place where you don't have to grow up. I'm not sure how this relates to Queensland though.

The best drams I have ever experienced were in Northern Scotland!
