The cheap kalloy seapost I have on my Redline monocog is slowly bending.

I'm 205lbs. and I need one thats 26.8mm diameter and at least 350mm in length, preferably slightly longer.

I'd just get a Thomson, but they don't make one long enough in that diameter. Rather than going with the cheapest thing I can find, I'd rather just get a decent one that will hold up to basic singletrack riding.

Any suggestions for a new one and where to buy it?

I just bough a Truvativ XR for a big diameter seat post and it was pretty long so long in fact that I had to chop like 3 inches off of it.

If you read the OP's first statement and go to lhthomson.com, you will find that they don't make one in that diameter / length combo.

universalcycles.com shows a silver one in 410mm but it's not available.

Hence the Deuce.

Though http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/14935-275_THO416-3-Parts-68-Seatposts/Clamps/Thomson-Aluminum-Elite-Seatpost.htm

shows one in 410mm.

(I'd call first to make sure)

I'm just curious who's right.

Do they or don't they make a long 26.8?

Maybe it's NOS.

Seems like they used to make one. I've seen a few long 26.8 Thomsons on ebay (used). But people are crazy...they'll pay nearly MSRP for a beat up used post.
