Commuting - Converting Snow Boot to winter bike shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Here's a challenge for hard core snow bikers:

Winter may be over in some places, but we'll have another couple of months of cold, wet rain, and snow here in Seattle. Add on lots of wind chill on the decents and that adds up to pretty cold feet.

Freewheel and Icebike recommend this boot plus a SPD cleat adaptor. http://www.freewheel.com/mvw/shoes.html -->recommends SYNTACE Colorado Cyclist Cat. # SNT-MXA-1 but nobody seems to make it.But I cannot find an adaptor to add the SPD cleat.

Here's the LL BEAN SNOW WALKERS. Where do I get the adaptor to attach the cleat??
