I'm looking for a new bike to hopefully eliminate the uncomfortableness of a DF bike. I'm sure the Fusion is not going to top a recumbent in comfort, but does anyone have any opinion on the comfortableness of the Fusion? In particular, with respect to the seat on the Fusion. Thanks

I've only done a few miles on a Fusion, but found it a pleasant experience. I would not choose it over my Trice Q or Rans Rocket for a long distance, but would be happy to ride around the neighborhood or down a bike path on one.

In my humble opinion, test riding before buying is well worth the effort whether its a DF, CF or bent.

I have a early-2007.
It's a LOT better comfort than an upright, but you can't really change position on it. Pedaling while standing is out, and you're sitting fairly upright which makes riding a fast pace difficult. You won't need padded riding shorts however. I mostly ride mine wearing non-bicycling clothes.

Also it feels like a normal bike, as far as ease of riding. People can just get on it and go--unlike with true recumbents, that new people need some time to get used to steering and balancing.
