Foo - What we love, what we hate

Love: Riding in perfect weather, not too hot/not too cold - taking my time and enjoying what is around me - absorbing all that I can of the beauty in this world that surrounds me.

Hate: When people try to hurt others on purpose.

Love: playing with the dogs. Getting them all riled up, watching them chase eachother around, chasing me around, me chasing them.

Hate: That they're ...her... doggies....

Love.. Wife, friends,biking, family, small fuzzy mammals, fosters...ect.
hate... people who take advantage, liars, flat tires and marmalade.
...yeah what gives?

Love: being single, riding the bike, computers, my apartment, my car, myself (getting there) and my family and a higher power.

Hate: as of late, being single but it lasts 10 minutes, when car breaks but i let go easily, people that backstab (i pretty much write them off when i notice their behavior), tickets to Ecuador are expensive (thanks gas prices...).

I don't have a lot of love right now.

I hate feeling this way.

I love finding an abandoned mansion when I go riding in the woods...complete with creepy chandelier :D

Love: cycling, painting, singing, shooting pool, playing video games/card games, being around people that i care for (family and friends). The list keeps going on...

Hate: Simple... fake people.

Love: Life is grand as long as it's not cold outside. Seriously, cold is the only thing on Earth that bothers me. As long as it's warm, nothing can go wrong, even when I get 3 flats in one day riding tubulars.

My daughter(s); my extended family(sis's); riding; the printed word; temps, 55-79F; sitting in the shade with a gentle breeze drying the sweat off me, drinking a chilled green tea or gatorade; feeling my back pop 'back into place'; my sister's cooking; there's more, but....

I hate:
Getting off the bike to go into work; work; not getting paid enough to do my work; idiot drivers; snow/ice; the riding cost of living; there's more, but....

listening to sad love songs, the smell of fresh waffles, blueberries, first taste of a beer on a hot summers day, the taste of a great cup of coffee in the morning, watching squirrels trying to raid the bird feeder, silly songs and campfire sing a longs, making smores, maple syrup, leaves in the fall, fields of widflowers in profusion, going barefoot, antiques, my brothers and sisters, my wife and daughter( now that I am over being pissed off on extremus), women wearing summer dresses with straw hats with flowers and ribbons, tomato soup with croutons, feeling the sun on my face, a soft breeze when there is a mist outside, cloudy days, Christams trees and lights, sitting for hours watching the stars at night, Chai, Green, and Herbal teas, fresh whipped cream, soft ice cream on a hot summers night, amaretto in my coffee, hiking with friends,spending the day in bookstores,
Bike Forums especially the Foo and Clydesdales Forums, the smell of line dried clothes, the works of the Poet Robert Service, my Bike Forums Foo crushes, Grape NEHI, The smell of good pipe tobacco, Argyll sweaters with elbow patches, new socks, Desert Boots, snowball fights, Chinese paper lanterns over a dimly lit dance floor, slow dances, hoding hands, milk and cookies, MOM and her cooking, AMERICA, baseball games, hot dogs with mustard, onions and kraut, bad 1950's Science Fiction Movies, scary stories, new gadgets, bike equipment and browsing through the LBS, pictures of Siu when she's tipsy, going to the shooting range with a 1000 roundsof .22 ammo and spending the day, Swiss Army knives, pocket watches with the fob, vests, cool hats, The Chicago Cubs, cold water with lemon and ice on a hot summers day, LIFE!!!!

Life is a one time go round. Don't be mean or cruel to people. Make the world a nicer place by smiling and being of good cheer. Try not to hold onto your anger. Pollyanish? Yes, probably. Positive words and deeds make for a nicer life though don't you think? ;):)

Love: Cycling (I suppose that is a given) - with friends, alone; Mom's homemade bread, time with my nieces and nephews, reading classic literature, lasagna

Love: People who take personal responsibility instead of blaming society or upbringing for all of life's woes.

Hate: Liberals. (The type that refuse to do the above and instead fight to legislate everything.)

If you're going to use wood on that 1/4 pipe, consider looking around demolition sites. I've thrown out enough 2x's and plywood to make hundreds or perhaps thousands of half or quarter pipes. Nothin wrong with scavenging from an open top roll off dumpster if you look out for sharp stuff. Plus, if you ask the workers while they're there, rather than wait till they leave and take it anyway, most of the time they'll give you the stuff, since it costs money to throw out.

Seriously, I hope I'm not offending anyone living in California with my comments. It's just that 3 out of 4 times when you meet a real toss off around here, they are from So Cal.
