I have $1200 to spend. Is it possible to have a custom built lugged S3 or Life frame built with carbon stays for this amount of money?

Or, are there any builders out there that could use a custom job right now and would want this beast? Lugs aren't mandatory but I like them and they add a bit of style and class.
A slightly sloping top tube would be great.

I'm easy to work with, have purchased 4 or 5 custom steel bikes over the past few years, can make quick decisions and pretty much know what I like. I'm always open to builder's suggestions as well.

If you'd like to have a rolling "billboard" here in bike crazy Portland Oregon here's your chance.
If anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks a bunch.

Anything can be done, but lugs and carbon stays and sloping top tubes are going to be a challenge. I would guess most people who do lugs aren't going to like that stuff much.

If i were in your position I would up the ante and get a bike that is top drawer, spend a little money. For 2500 you could get almost any frame out there, with paint a variable. By the time you are at 5-6 custom bikes, it's time to ante up for the real cream. Of course, maybe that is what your first 5 bikes were about and now you want to try something wacky...

I think you're pushing the friendship a bit with your budget. If you want something that's actually good you're going to have to spend closer to 2k.
