Over here by NYC, the recent warm spell has melted the snow off the trails into a slushy mess. We have entered the season of mud. Ice in the morning, mud in the afternoon... Oh Joy, kind of wish it would either stay frozen or hurry up and melt. Messes up the commute and also X-C skiing.

Move to Minnesota, we still have plenty of snow, cold and ice. We've got at least another month or more before we get to your situation. The X-C skiing is great!

Seattle's season of mud starts in October and ends in July

Looks like the short burst of mud is going to go back to hibernation soon. By Monday, the highs are predicted to be only in the 20s again so looks like the mud will go away for a bit.
