And its "Fixed geared bikes" not "Fixed gears" if you want to refer to them in the plural form. If we had "Fixed gears" then we would have more than one and then it would be a geared bike after all. YA DOLT!

My geared bike is as stupid as my fixed gears though. After careful examination I've concluded that neither of em seem to know much about anything.

The search for a smart inanimate object continues!

And it's "it's".
And it's "fixed-gear".
I suppose a flip-flop hub could be considered fixed-gears.
...just sayin'.

it always blows my mind when we get a troll in the ssfg forum, because my gut reaction about who would be a troll tells me that it's all us ****ers here in the ssfg forum that are the most likely to go troll others.

god help us if we are trolling ourselves...

bikes are stupid in general... I don't even know why I still post here.

Started off on bmx.
Moved to MTB.
Then got a road bike.
Then a conversion.
Then a track bike.
Then a tarck bike.
Then said screw it and started walking.
Then realized my shoes were holding me back and went barefoot and reached a new plateau of Zen.

Shoeless walking is the new fixed gear. You are in contact with your true environment. Wheels, rubber, chain all interfere with being true to yourself. Split lanes barefoot or go home. NBD. end of discussion. delete forum.

Dig Reeder's gone. This was like his suicide note to all of us who still have the balls enough to ride fixies on the road. Oh, Dig. We'll miss you. Coast in peace.

so your a christian/mormon/whatever... someone who believes in God. And someone comes up to you and says, "god is so stupid, its far more practicale to do whatever the **** you want". And all you have to say is "oh, you spelled practical wrong you dumb ****"!

I'm disappointed, i really wanted to see how some people would defend riding a fixed gear bike... i guess not/ btw i still ride, and love it so don't piss your pants

fluidworks

It's really more of a preference and opinion on riding, and I doubt anyone here could have changed your mind anyways.

Just shut up and ride.

It has nothing to do with wanting to see "how many people would defend riding FG" you just wanted to start **** with the FG crowd is all  if you "still ride and love it" go ride already and stop talking ****!

whether or not it is stupid, i still love it, and it makes me that much faster when i do ride geared.

hell, i can smoke any of my riding partners with their fancy tri bikes on my beater 10 sp and not lose them by too much, and last year (pre fixed riding) i would lose them butt quick
