Anyone live and ride in the Tempe/Phoenix area? I'm considering grad school at ASU and I am trying to find out what the cycling scene is like down there. Are there a good number of commuters down there? I don't expect it to be like Seattle, where I currently live, but I hope it is at least better than SoCal, where I used to live.

It depends on where you live in Tempe/Phoenix. I commute, but I live in North Phoenix so it's totally different.

Tempe/Phoenix, I believe, has a lot more bike lanes but also is filled with stop lights and the such. Tempe is very college oriented so as any college town its more bike friendly.

I have a map of Phoenix with all the bike paths, routes, lanes, etc on if you want it. Send me a PM with your e-mail and it's yours.
