Mountain Biking - DJ bikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking into getting a dirt jump bike. I've checked out Specialized, Norco and Orange DJ's. Just want to know if there are any other companies worth taking a look at.

Kona is better than rocky mountain imho. Better prices, better warranty, more essence that talking about handcrafting this or that. Maelstrom has a pretty good experience with a kona Dj frame and i presume that he agrees to it. Also he is the man to offer a hands on opinion on the quality of the frames.

The flow is awesome but for the price Kona is better imo. But then again handmade for me holds as much water as presidential speaches.

Kona and Rocky Mountain look pretty sick. What do you guys think about Orange? (Hitman or MSIsle)

Overpriced...more than the RM. There are many other bikes of equal quality for much lower.

I really like my norco. Its really overbuilt. THe only thing is the supercross bikes are kinda heavy. I've got the 5hun and its just under 40 pounds. Look into the new Cdale chase or the new giant STP (Lenosky's sig bike) There are some pics at alwaysmad.com The frame is only 3.5 pounds. It looks really sweet too.
