I have a Reba race fork. I would like to buy some disc brakes. Probably Avid BB7s (because they are low maintenance).
I have some options for the rotor size. 160, 185, 203mm.
SRAM recommends nothing bigger on the Reba fork than a 208 rotor. I thought I'd go with the 185 rotors.
FYI, I'm 6' 1", about 190 and I ride XC, no jumps or freestyle or downhill.
Is there any advice anyone has for me?

Try to eat as many green and orange vegetables as possible.
Other than that go with the biggest rotor you can, or stick to the 160mm. Either way, you'll be fine.

I can only think of two orange veggies. Carrots and orange pepper. Are there others? And if so, weight please! :D

Sweet potato is another and offers a tasty complement to any roast potato dish as well as being chock full of vitamins.

PS I'd get the 185, but If you want low maintenance stick with V's

Interesting ... but why? Because of weight, or because I don't do any hardcore riding?

Too right, but I got tired of carrying a dozen large watermelons around on dates.

not because of weight. it's just all you need in the back. Plus, it keeps it from locking up as easy. Just from my own experience.

same setup I have...works great. I am 5'10 185 pounds and it stops me on a dime.

Who makes a 140mm rotor?

185 F/160 R, just because motorcycles do it. Actually, if I was to have the "ideal" XC setup, it would 160 F/140 R. You just don't need that much power for XC.
On a side note, my roomie put a 203 F on his '08 Rig (with BB7's). VERY powerful. 2nd time out he comes around a fast downhill sweeper, and gives it a little too much front. Results in the front wheel washing out and a massive highside into some thorn bushes. It sure does look cool, though!
