New RANS V-Rex le. Getting it dialed in after two weeks. Replaced the stock seat pad with the thinner, lighter RANS pad immediately. Solved the noisy rear brakes (Tektro Quartz) by replacing the stock pads with Clarks brake pad inserts. Can't remember the last time I put any Made-in-England bits on a bike. Reclined the seat back today a bit further - much more than I ever did on my Tailwind. Feels very nice. Speed limit on my home street is 20mph - have always worked hard to match that but no problem getting up to 23 today.

I've used a thin cushion on my Tailwind for 2 years and it seems more than adequate on both bikes. The original pad on the TW felt to me like a big blob of jell-o.

I briefly considered a Stratus or V2-3 but couldn't bear the thought of rasslin' with a bike even longer than my TW, either in the garage or transporting by car, etc.
