I've been volunteering as an actor, codirector, acting coach, improv coach, and occasional groundskeeper for an outdoor children's theatre (http://www.valleymoon.info) since I was 15.
Well, I've written this year's Halloween show script and I'll be directing it with my good friend Nikki at my side! Nikki I've known for those 10 years. She and I have basically become brother and sister over that time. She'll be a great codirector.
I'm so excited to do this! Casting call is this Saturday. The kids, adults, and long-time devotees are all totally stoked. We even got some statues brought into the park from an iconic putt-putt joint, Magic Carpet Golf, before they closed.
I'm so amazingly stoked. ****ing love community theatre.
