Punks, eh?

Where were the Chuck Taylors? The Schwinn Cruisers? The studded bracelets? The mowawks? The stickers?

I rode my ss 12 miles yesterday in Chucks with holes you could put yer fist through...

Oh, totally. Next week, I'm gonna take the drivetrain off my bike and push myself along with my feet. NO ****ING SPEEDS!

Or I might just weld my fork to my frame. To turn, I'll pick up the bike and pivot, Robo-Cop style. Then we'll call it ONE ****ING DIRECTION!

i retired my oldest pair of chucks yesterday. they used to be dark blue, but now they're purplish-grey. the laces used to be red, but now they're pinkish-grey. the rubber used to be white, but now it's brownish-brown/grey. but a light brownish-brown/grey.

the holes in the soles were becoming a pedaling problem. if my fixie can't get on with my footwear, i retire the shoes. it's funny, b/c i wear my many-holed docs on my fix with little problems, on stompin' days.

oh, yeah. riderx, great online mag, as always. believe it or not, you and sheldon b. have offered me the online encouragement to ride a fixie. my cyclo-snob real-life buddies frown on fixed-gear, b/c it's so faddish. they tried to discourage me. but you, my brother, helped me see the light.

Chucks? I like 'em, but prefer Vans. Been a loyal Vans guy for 20 years.

Punk's an attitude, not a fashion statement - I was running fixed gear and beer in the water bottles. Punk enough for ya'? ;)
