another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive

33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three"

4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ

44 to ask what is a "FAQ"

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again....

35 more to jump on the bandwagon,

25 to argue with them about why the thread was inapprioriate for this type of forum in the first place,

10 more to threaten to leave if this sort of thing continues.

How many forum users does it take to change a light bulb?

None, they can't do it. It's too far away from their keyboard. They have to ask their signifigant other to do it. They are too busy pointing out the deficiencies of others and solving all the problems of the World to be bothered with anything so mundane.

How many engineers?

Are you kidding? I switched over to all solid-state lighting years ago. In another 7 years 2 months 18 days 3 hours and 7 minutes (approximately) I will have saved enough on energy costs and spare bulbs to have completely paid for the investment. Plus the blue hue in the light adds a party effect to the room and has a rainbow effect as it reflects off the slide rule in the pocket of my short-sleeve dress shirt. By the way have you read NASA's proposal for using LED lighting on the first manned mission to Mars. Did you know that LED's work by...umm, you're giving me that 'you're a nerd' look again.
