Foo - Any reason why the forums are damn near non-functional?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

In order for my browser to load a page, I have to click on it's link a few dozen times, otherwise the browser will get bored and time out.
Explain.

It would work great if you were SysOp Tugger. :)
(hey stacey!)
I've noticed the same thing Tug.
My troubleshoot-fu says you probably have an unsecured wifi router, letting your neighbor suck all the bandwidth downloading questionable video footage. This makes your connection so slow that the web pages time out.
Tell your neighbor (or family member, or maybe yourself) to take it easy on the torrents.
:twitchy::twitchy:
Cuz you spelled DAMN correctly.

I build computers for a living. Nothing about my hardware or software goes untouched before I set it up or turn it off.
I am playing CS 1.6 while the page loads. The server simply isn't sending anything back to meet the clients request.
Every other thing I do online works fine, except Bike Forums.

I have the same problem at times. Usually I'm on a high speed direct connect at work and am accessing many other sites at the same time. BF is awful sometimes. Either they don't have enough resources or their IT support people don't know how to do their jobs.
Probably just provider busy-ness... I haven't noticed it, though...

Turn on your error console in your browser when this happens next time and PM the results to me for, specifically, Javascript errors, etc. I think I may know what's up, and that would help me confirm it.
Hmm I have never had an issue with firefox & linux must be a windows thing ;)

How are the game coming along?
Oh that's right, like Macs, Linux isn't a good platform for 3D games. At least, not for good ones.
You can say "What about Wine?", or "Cedaga works awesome." all you want, either way, you are adding something to nothing and making suck out of it.
I use Opera and Firefox, so you can eat that one as well.
