I posted this in the mechanics thread, but realized I should have put it here.
I have 1997 Schwinn Super Sport frame that I'm looking to build into a single speed.
I have a Stem...but no fork..no handlebars..and that's why I'm here. I'm trying to figure out what and where to buy all the items I need, and like most, on a budget.
I've looked on craigslist for parts, but all I see are full bikes being sold, plus I don't know what to search for.
What I should do is take the frame into a shop and bare the shame of not knowing where to start, but in cowardly fashion I turned to the internet first.
I attached a few pictures of my frame if anyone has come across it before and of the standard stem.
As you can see it has vertical dropouts and I was told a surly tensioner would work.
Any help anyone can provide on where I should start (besides giving up before I start, because I'm an idiot) would be appreciated.
