Road Cycling - A Pictorial Celebration of Steel

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I want everyone to help me prove that steel is real and here to stay! Post pics of your favorite steel bike (you don't even have to own it). The more obscure and random the make/model, the better. I had better see some lugged frames, too.
Anyway, I'll get the ball rolling with mine.
This is a 2002 Bianchi Campione. I have upgraded to Bontrager Race Lite wheels and a Mizuno carbon fork w/ a Cane Creek S-2 headset. This bike is straight and stable in all riding conditions and for that, I love it.
I look forward to seeing some beautiful bikes. Thank you.

As much as I hate linking to his site, if you like lugs check out -

Some proponents of lugged construction include, well, everyone in that gallery, but also Columbine Cycles, and Bohemian Cycles - two of the best and most flamboyant. Hard to go past Richard Sachs too, although he's, well, less flamboyant.
A lugged bike is on my agenda this year ( A fixie ), but in the meantime I humbly offer my gallery of TIG'd goodies. Not a heap there, but hey, I'm just one guy, so cut me some slack -

You know, in the 80's Landsharks were vomitous, and I'd ignored them for over a decade, but now, I think their painjobs can be pretty cool.
my current steel ride..... Full CrMO (Columbus Thron Tange mix)
this does not qualify as a roadbike... but its classic steel...
It was recently restored.. Rides great... Looks great and is 50+ yrs old! bought in 1947..

Just wondering why you hate linking to Kirk's site? He has done
more for "artisian" lugs than has been done in a long time.
While we are at it I like this(also from Kirk's site) Dave Kirk frame

overly ornate lugs p1ss me off.
i do love lg work and all...
i just prefer them to be functional. a cloverleaf cut into colnago lugs is about all i can handle. before i feel disgusted by it.
maybe it's the fact that i'm listening to aphex twin right now?
