my batteries of choice are limn
from canadian tire/yardworks
20v(21 fully charged) 5cell,bms
6ah / 31amp
weight is 2.76lbs or 1.25kg listed on paperwork(3lb 3oz/1.45kg on box)
size for each battery...in my factory case already...
2xbat =21v+21v=42v total 6ah
my bike is ct schwinn izip/mongoose clone
cost...109 for each bat 29 for each charger

That can't possibly be good for the batteries, or your safety. Putting a 48V with a 12V and 12V in series?
Mixing voltages and chemistries...

He never said he was CHARGING them in series. Drain is totally different and you obviously don't know as much as you think you do.

As for your question - which battery pack? I use 5 different ones...

Hi all, first time poster, long time learner. I'm not sure if this is the best thread to jump into, nonetheless, I had never ever thought about mixing battery chemistries, but wouldn't hitting the lifepo4's low cuttoff voltage be worrisome to it's longevity? BTW, I don't have a Ebike, just a noob trying to get up to speed.

no one charger for the lifepo4 and another for the sla, i see wasp is working on a lithium 20v pack from ct
i may get rid of the sla.


i have mixed them with no problems. the bms on the lifepo4 will only let you add another 12v without cutting out, when i get the new lithuim pack to replace it im moding the bms.

im also working on a charger that will charger the complete set, im testing it right now works well, i have a thing for solid state chargers thay only last less than a year with me. this ones will be in a aluminum case
on the wall with a lcd display to show charge state, kinda like the ev 1 charger that gm had :)

Ping will configure his newer 36V 12Ah LiFePo4 two different ways:
Either..6.3" x 2.96" x 9.45"
or....... 6.3" x 5.91" x 4.73"

No idea on weight yet.
