Great Lakes - "Chiropractic Weekend" races Aug 23 & 25 (WI)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just a reminder that there IS racing in Wisconsin this coming weekend.
A Criterium (http://www.wicycling.org/WisconsinCup/raceflyers08/2008%20CHIROPRACTIC%20CRIT.pdf) in Brookfield on Saturday, Time Trial (http://www.wicycling.org/WisconsinCup/raceflyers08/The%20Chiropractic%20Time%20Trial%20is%20proudly%20sponsored%20by.pdf) on Sunday in Dousman.
The following weekend is a cyclocross clinic (http://www.wicycling.org/Forum/news/2008news/news.htm#PageCrossClinic) in Madison, put on by Bike Planet and UCI Cyclocross star Johnathon Page.
Despite popular belief, there IS life north of the Cheddar Curtain. :D

Due to work, I didn't get there until mid-afternoon but did catch the Masters 1/2/3, Cat.3, and Pro 1/2/3.

i think that's just how he makes sure the bike can stand up to his style of racing... :innocent:
congrats on the upgrade frunkin. how was racing with the 3s?
i raced the 4s in the morning - it was hot, wet, muggy and painful. i just about puked on the last lap, then i sat up for the finish when everyone else was taking off (still finished 8 or 9 out of 20 or so b/c i didn't get dropped like the other half that started).
wtf? greg cullen won the masters 3/4, masters 4/5, and cat 4??? not fair.

Greg Cullen used to race 1's or 2's a few years back, he should definately be a 3 or higher.
The 3's were hard. It wasn't like the 4/5's where it would be kind of fast then slow then maybe an attack. People were attacking all the time. I think it was a little more physically demanding then 4/5's but the big difference is in the tactics.
BTW I had a (back of) pack finish for 13th/18

Modest Frunkin then did his 'cool down lap' and directly lined up with the 1's and 2's for the Pro 1/2/3 race.
WAY TO GO FRUNKIN !! He knows how to take a beating!
