It's just a concept right now.. but designer Andrew Grigor designed this tricycle made out of bamboo and it's called the Bam Bam Baby.

"Made entirely of sustainably harvested bamboo, it’s strong, flexible, abrasion resistant, hypoallergenic, and quite aesthetically pleasing if I do say so myself."

the sustainability trend is nice when applied practically, but applying sustainability to something which has never had an issue with "recyclability" is nothing more than trendy marketing.

this is bad design-- it creates more problems than it actually solves.

what? i'd rather my kid (if i had one) ride somethingl like this rather then a plastic power wheel anyday.

- lasts generations
- can be repaired from almost any damage
- won't warp in the rain
- remarkably durable

there is nothing to solve here-- at least not by an overpriced wooden pos.

I would agree....If this had anything to do with sustainability. Sustainability is different than making something out of substainably harvested materials.

It's a good design. I hope kids get stoked.

If you're gonna get a proper trike, fine, but I have to agree, these would be a welcome alternative to the extruded plastic nightmares that seem so ubiquitous these days.

I'd buy one of those. The design is exceptional, and the wooden hed3 is pretty.
Then again I really like the look of wood.
