gvh does not have the crankset as far as i know....and the 09 rival goes for $900 on comp cyclist...i am interested if this is the FULL group

Um right GVH doesn't have the cranks yet because they aren't available yet. Comp Cyclist is selling Super Record 11 too...but they don't have any of it yet. :rolleyes:

I have no clue how old the stock at GVH is so if you want to ensure the hollow design I would think this group buy might be the better path assuming the few dollars more is worth it to the buyer.

Since you'd be buying the groupsets from me, you wouldn't have a shop or anything to serve as a middle man for the warranty. If something fails though, SRAM should be willing to stand behind their product.

Just an FYI, when I had a warranty issue with my SRAM stuff, they would not deal with me directly.

I had the exact opposite experience. The local distributor wouldn't order a re-build kit for me so I could rebuild my BB7 brakes, so SRAM sent me two new complete brake calipers instead. :thumb:

Did you verify this with Tom? Because their web page says their build kits include 2008 components... The only other place that has prices close to GVH is Colorado Cyclist and I know that they're selling 2008 components. At least for their Force build kits.

I have been in contact with GVH re: 2009 Force and he said nothing about unavailability.

I can't speak about cranksets but I upgraded from 2008 Rival to 2009 Force. The shifting improvement is definitely noticeable, especially in front.
