Fifty Plus (50+) - Evening Ride w/ pics - Marina del Rey, CA

Thanks for the post. In the early 1970s I worked part-time at Bikecology's short-lived Marina Del Rey shop, commuting by bike from the Westwood - Rancho Park area. We didn't have that bikeway back then.

Here is a pic from San Juan Capistrono earlier this year at a Peet's coffee shop. We saw a number of older cyclists. You had to catch them stopped to know their age.;)

In that area I'd be watching out for women that didn't look a day over 22. VERY nice pictures.

I, too, lived in West LA -- in the early 80's I lived in Westwood. I have ridden that path a billion times. I used to ride it in the mornings before work, or on Sundays early before the crowds were out.

I was in LA w/my son this spring and we rented some bikes on the Santa Monica pier and road to Playa del Rey and back....lots of great memories.

Yamaha R6 :eek: Oh well, she'll come around to gasless cycling eventually, I hope.
