Is there any way i can tighten my headset without taking it to the bike shop???

Try tightening the stem cap and/or stem bolts. Probabily won't help much but you might as well try.

tighten it? what do you mean by that. Do you mean that there is some play when you lock up the brakes and move your bike back and forth?

Loosen the stem bolts, tighten the top cap in small increments just until the play goes away, then tighten the stem bolts.

basically what blast said. But you will definetly know when it falls into place. It will feel firm and not be clunky when you ride.

Yep, I'll repeat what Blast said, but in "Tightening Headsets for Dummies" language:
Loosen the bolt(s) (screw thingies) on the side of stem (handlebar holdie thingy). Some stems have a single pinch bolt, some have two.
Squeeze the front brake (left lever usually in USA, Right in other countries). Rock back and forth.
Tighten the top cap (the other screw thingy that is on top of the handlebar holdie thingy) This compresses the headset (the turny the handlebar whatchamacallit).
Turn in 1/4 turn increments until there is no slop when you squeeze the brake and rock the bike. Then go back and tighten the stem pinch bolt(s) on the side of the stem.
That's about it!

I'm confused by this headset thing. I couldn't find a screws or bolts on the top of my helmet. Maybe the screw is loose inside my head? :D

Ride up to your lbs and ask if someone could so you and watch.I'm sure they would first thing in the morning while its slow.Takes 5 min max.
