I have a noise in my drop handle bars when I am climbing or sprinting. The noise is a clicking sound. I'm pretty confident it is in the handle bar / stem interface. I've torqued the stem/bar bolts to the specified torque and the noise persists.
Besides the obvious of just tightening the bolts beyond the torque spec, is there a way to prevent this noise?

If it were my rig.......
Pull the bars off, steel wool all contact surfaces, clean thouroughly, remount every thing. Could be your stem to steer tube connection, also.
