my bike squeeks and it sounds like my tire is rubbing against the frame. I cant find any place where it is even close nor do the brakes rub at all. its a new bike as well. what else could squeek? could it be the chain not lubed enough or the derailleurs?

after i ride in the rain my rear derailleur squeeks until i re-lube it. so i'm guessing its some where in your drive train. just clean it and re-lube it.

If the wheel doesn't roll ( I don't mean to be puerile) and there seems to be resistance-- check the bearing races--- most new mass produced bikes are not assembled well-- could you describe the bike-- make model year size?

With a new bike check those little rubber washers on the axle that help keep the dust out of the bearings. They tend to squeak a lot at times. A drop or two of oil will let you know if this is the noise source or not.

the bike is a 07' Giant TCR. but the conclusion i am coming to is that I need to go out and get some oil to lube pretty much everything?
