Hello everyone,
I stumbled across this forum while doing some research for my next road bike. I'm 48, ride with a group called True-Wheels (www.truewheels.org) and our bis ride is usuallly the MS-150 ride to the beach in Sept. We ride pretty hard and average about 175 miles a week or so in season. I do not race competiton but enjoy hammering with the gang !
Presently I am riding a Specialized M2 Comp. with 105 components and Mavic wheels that I bought used about five years ago. Its getting outdated and the aluminum frame is putting a beating on my old butt ! So I started looking around and saw the Firenze from Litespeed, the Scattante from Supergo and Precision Plus from Douglas. I have two kids in college so my target is the $2K range.
I'd appreciate any feedback and ideas that might help my decision.
