Foo - Dragon*con and a whole lot of other stuff

ok, so dragon*con is in 2 weeks. and I am debating going. Originally when I was staying in Atl I knew I was going and volunteered so I have a guaranteed ticket. plus I will be doing security at one of the panels.

I also just got an email asking to speak on a panel:

I'm putting on a panel at DragonCon about freedom of speech and
privacy for sex-positive bloggers and podcasters on the Internet.

I am debating if I want to speak on that panel. it would be interesting, and as a friend pointed out, a great place to meet chicks.

and lastly critical mass is that friday. all the more reason to go to atl, that and to see all my friends I havent seen in a few months.

I threw the Serenity DVD in the box last night.

I have the series set. Have yet to see the movie, tho.

It's a fair finnish to the series.

bums me that they had to finish it.

To volunteer and not show up is a really dick move on your part. Should have made plans to get there earlier. Suck it up and pay a taxi or something.

As for a ride, one way to get to Atlanta from Huntsville is to go through Birmingham. Is that where you are?

I dont have a job and spent $1200 on stitches in my face and my broken hand 3 weeks ago. and was denied for disability this morning. I have 4 dr's appointments to pay for in the next month. those are a bit more important than the con. at the moment I am not in the mood to be nice. when I volunteer I lived in atl now I live in birmingham, i moved here when I started having seizures every day

it is expected if i go to the con I will spend atleast one night in the hospital

I'm not sure if I can do it. I'm not driving this go round. I would suggest Greyhound. That's how I came back last year.

ok so I am officially on the panel, I found a ride for my bike (which means i am going to the critical mass to)
and it makes it easier for me to get there. I may just take the bus

and the panel is Saturday 8/30 at 10:00pm in the Hilton/Cherokee room (2nd
floor right front part of the hotel)

it is a long story. mostly it is cause i have a crappy lawyer, i am getting a new lawyer on my case on monday who specializes in cases in neurological issues.
