I am in need of some new shifters. I run shimano ultegra 9 speed right now. I wanted to know, could I use campy chorus with my shimano drivetrain? Or should I just stick to the dura ace shifters? Thanks.

No you can't run Chorus, so go with Dura Ace, or just switch everything to Campy.

And not to get into the whole campy versus shimano thing but....i would say most people don't ride campy, as it is dearer, not as available etc whatever BUT
i have never ridden ergo shifters, but they look like they are not as comfortable as STI -since i started riding sti, i ride the hoods quite a lot now, as they are larger ,and provide a number of different ways to 'hold' them
Ergo shifters look decidedly smaller, narrower etc and not as condusive to 'hood riding' ie sti shifters are more comfy than older shimano non-sti no?
How do you campy riders find the ergos in terms of comfort
Also on another note- i ride 105 sti and sometimes get a shock when on the drops, and go to grab the breaks (with sweaty hands) and the lever flicks out to change gear-can be scary in that split second- campy break levers do not move to the side .so i was thinking that could be a bonus- as well as the ability to drop thru a number of gears in one movement

You can use Ergo10 levers with Shimano9 derailleurs but it is best to stick to Shimano.
Ergo levers are wider and beefier than Shimano hoods. They are very comfortable.

Another goofy alternative is the Modolo Morphus shifters...
