Anyone want to take a mid-afternoon spin up to OLH or Kings Mountain from Palo Alto this Sunday?

I might be down. I'm busy Saturday so I can't make that ride. Sunday is looking better... and I've never ridden OLH.

Awesome, Mr. Reid. I'll PM you separately.

Ty,

Instead of being a curious poster, I think you should come out tomorrow afternoon also! Saddle up, men!

What time are people going to be out and about?

I'd love to, I haven't done OLH all summer. Usually a milestone of my riding. Sunday however will be spent with a realestate agent. Otherwise I'd be out on the bike fo shizzle.

I don't even have time to go to the gun range (the gym) on sunday

Nice! Which poison did you ingest in copious quantity to cause this "not so hot" feeling?

Didn't see anyone out there. Warmed up with Golden Oak then managed 22:30 up OLH. Maybe the carbon bike is faster. Crawled behind cars down 84 then decided today would be a fine day to try Summit Springs for the first time. Yikes, I had to stop and take a breather on the second step when it's 23%. Did King's Mountain after that and descended to Robert's Market.

I had to stay close to home since I was out of town last weekend. No riding this weekend. And now AYSO starting up. Looks like my winter season is starting early... ;)

I ended up deciding to climb Page Mill and descend Kings Mountain instead, but I would have loved the shade on OLH. It was 96+ on Page Mill in the early afternoon.

Ramon, where is this Summit Springs? Not that I'm going to go and try it, but just curious....

Yup, I finished the ride around 12, and it was already getting toasty then when not in the shaded area.

Maybe you can extend the riding season by towing the AYSO participant(s) on your bike? Bonus points for towing them up and down the rollers on Foothill.

It is off of Tripp road about half way down Tripp from King's Mountain road and Woodside Road HW84.

Summit Springs is cool ... it's do-able ... kinda like Joaquin (from Alpine side)

No way!!!! Awesome.

I'm not sure what all I drank last night. Was up in the city for a friend's birthday. Had some sushi and sake bombs, then went to a bar and put away quite a few. Didn't make it to bed 'till 4 or 4:30 and only woke up at 10 'cause it was too hot to sleep.

... I hate alcohol :p But, it was a good friend's birthday, so I had to show. :thumb:

Yeah, sake bomb and then "quite a few". That'd do it. Oh well, at least it was all for a good cause!

Need something to kill time between the Livermore no-drop ride on Sat and Hamilton on Mon?

... on my way to beautiful rainy Atlanta as we speak. Can't wait to get back and hop on the bike.

Hehehe, both my girls decided to skip soccer and focus on other sports this year. Too bad because my seven year-old was pretty good at it but I'm definitely not going to miss the practices and having "All My Saturdays Occupied".

I'm on call to go to Raging Water any time this weekend, plus a potential Wine Country trip...sheesh. But should know my schedule by Wednesday. I definitely can't make it to the Livermore ride, so there's gotta be at least one to two days of riding! If so, Summit Springs, here I (we) come!
