On September the 7th, 2008 an ever growing number of cyclists will be gathering at Bikeworks in Edmonton, Alberta so that we might ride out to the Ukrainian Heritage Village to take in their Harvest Festival.
Harvest of the Past and Taste of Heritage Food Festival
Taste of Heritage Food FestSunday, September 7, 10 am - 6 pm
Described as one of the best autumn events in Canada! This spectacular harvest and food extravaganza is a place where you can feel the spirit of the past and enjoy a taste of the present. Take in the nostalgic harvest activities and historic demonstrations. Purchase specialty food items & crafts, watch demonstrations, and listen all-day to musical entertainment. Start your day with an early-bird pancake breakfast and feast on some of the finest Alberta-produced foods at the Taste of Heritage Food Festival.
We will congregate at 7:30 am (weather permitting) at Bikeworks which is located at 10047-80th Avenue, Edmonton and set out at 8:00 - 8:30 am for the village so that we might arrive at noon... it will be a leisurely and social ride and we will take a little break mid-way of each leg.
We plan to return at approximately 4:00 pm.
The return distance is aproximately 120 km and should take about 3 hours each way
