I've had a road bike now for almost a year and now want to start doing tri's. I've been looking on ebay and local craigslist just to see what is out there and prices. I found a 2004 Cervelo P2K on ebay and couldn't find much information on the bike here on the forums after doing a search. I would appreciate any help I can get. Is this a decent bike?

It's a good bike though the bid is already up to $760 so I doubt you will get what I would call "a deal" on it. The one downside is that the wheels are 650's...not really a major thing but kind of silly on a 54 cm frame. Depending on how high the bidding goes, you might be better off buying a brand new P2 SL.

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe a 54cm Cervelo is closer to a 51cm standard road Frame ..hence the 650 wheels.....

Check Cervelo's web site and do a BF serach on Cervelo ...there are many threads on sizing

Best of luck......I'm looking too!

I don't think that's correct. But anyway, I ride a 51 cm P2 SL and it has 700's. They changed that when they stopped producing the P2K

FYI - Forum member TRAININGWHEELS was looking to sell a 2005 Quintana Roo Kilo 55cm a couple of weeks back. See thread on, " Asking Price for 2005 QR Kilo". You might PM him if you're interested.

PK2 is a good bike. Not sure what would be a good price for it now. I don't think you usually get a great deal on eBay. Craig's list is better, but rarely see tri bikes. Check the classifieds in the forums at slowtwitch.com. Very popular tri site and looks of people selling their tri bikes including people who trade up every year and pros selling their sponsor bikes at the end of the season.
