Hello i am new here and the main reason I have come here is the bunny hop. I can pull up the front tire but my problem is pulling up the back tire I watched abot 20 vids and bunny hops and none helped so i turned to the fourms. If you can help please post thank you.

Just hang on to everything, and jump up in the air! It goes without saying that you have to be clipped/strapped in.

That bike has nothing to do with a bunnyhop it's you. I can bunnyhop with a walmart bike and a $700 bike. It doesn't matter.

Getting your back wheel up is all about technique and strength in a particular bit of your leg, which unless you've been practising bunnyhops/brakeless endos for a while or working out in a gym, probably isn't that well developed.

Speaking of which, you're more likely to get the hang of pulling up the back wheel if you practise just doing endos for now. Once you get a feel for pulling the back wheel up with your legs, then go back to bunny hops, which are the same thing but with your front wheel already in the air.

Or read the link in #5.

just pull up the front wheel, and then jump the rest of your body into the air. easy. and if you cant do that, then hit the weight room.

You missed the part where you have to tilt the pedals forward a bit and press backwards while you jump, otherwise you'll just come off the pedals. ;)

as you can see its really hard to explain in words. once you get it down its the same for everything form a 29 to a 18. after you pull up in the front of your bike, jump with your entire body. just make sure you are almost like pushing back on the pedals so you can take the bike with you in the air.

ok i know this is gona sound kinda weird but this is how i learned how to bunny hop. first i started by scooping up the rear of the bike with my legs. tilt your toes towards the ground and make a scooping motion upwards. i did this until i could bring the rear end up on command. then i pulled up with my hands and scooped with my feet at the same time. until i started bringing the whole bike up at the same time (not a bunny hop) then i started pulling up the handle bars first then scooping (BINGO!) thats a bunny hop. and you just have to practice practice practice until you can get that bike WAY UP THERE! you aren't going to be doing 3foot bunny hops fist try. more like 3 inches but even then you are on your way.

HOPE THAT HELPED

btw, practise hopping onto or over something (like a kerb or a shoebox or whatever) rather than just trying to hop over nothing. gives you something to aim for, and when you can do it consistently without clipping your back wheel on it you know to move onto a bigger object

i started with manhole covers. you learn to get height by trying to clear distance. and theres nothing to clip your wheels on until you learn it good enough to try it on a curb or whatever.

A skateboard on its side is also good for hopping over

And when you get better you can hop over skateboarders instead!
