I'm getting ready to donate my computer to Goodwill and want to wipe out the HD. I've packed all my stuff so I don't have my product key handy, does anyone have one so I can re-load XP?

Before you dump that PC, use Magical Jellybean (http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/) and write the key down.

Just a friendly reminder and not that anyone ever cares. If you bought the pc with windows pre-loaded, the PC owns the license (oem), not you. In theory this means you "can't" transfer it to another box. You have never actually paid for a full license.

that said, no one outside of people who have been audited care haha
