i do :thumb:

i live a few towns over and have done the josh quite a few times. here is the deal... the licensed riders are pulled to the start line in front of (was not always like this) the non-licensed riders. from the start there is about 3 miles to the first climb that usually creates the selection of packs. the climb is about a mile and just enough to put a few cracks in the field. the next 18 or so miles and back-country hilly roads ... no long climbs but a few 1/2 mile ones. eventually you get into w. stockbridge and head up to the finish where there are a few more selection climbs. you finish on a downhill... pretty fast and crazy for the handoff to the canoe or kayak.

milage is about 26, terrain is hilly, roads are backcountry, field can be sketch since there are quite a few strong riders that do not hold a license but will still hang in there on the climbs. the guys pose problems and often times generate crashes.

this race pulls out the pipehitters from the woodwork. now-a-days we get pros and a lot of 1's and 2's. i am a 3 and know the difference between sitting on a 2/3 wheel and pro/1 wheel ... it doesn't take long before you are paying your respects  anyhow, even though this is only 26 miles it can be a brutal 26 miles. see ya there :thumb:
