G'day people,

Just got a new GT Zaskar Expert 04 which comes with RS Pilot SL, which to my surprise, makes an audible clunk noise when compressed. I didn't notice the noise until oneday riding on a smooth road.

From what I can work out, the noise is coming from the compression leg, and it sounds like the internal coil spring hitting something inner, like the slider tube. I've brought the bike back to the bike shop and they've pulled the fork apart and found nothing loose. And the noise is definately coming from the fork, not from the bike.

Anyone had simlar experience? Sorry searched everywhere in this website and found nothing to solve my dilemma.

ive had a similar experience with a clunky fork, but that was becasue oh the headset. It sounded like it was coming from the legs but it was really just the headset. Maybe you should bring it to your LBS if its something internal and have them check it out again.
