You have to post a pic that looks exactly like your dream car. Down to the color(s) and everything.

I'll start.

Its gotta be one of these:

It was my first car and the first thing I'll buy when I hit the lotto.

I'd be happy rocking a DB4 too.

An older 911 or 912 is something I may get one day.

Silver is my favorite color on a car.

They've sure got a lot of those old Beetles around here. I'd never seen a Baja in person until I got here. Now I see them constantly.

I've been on this forum longer than you have, I've been alive a hell of a lot longer than you have, I'm certain I know more about cars than you, and if you'd ever paid attention, you'd have seen me post pics of many MKII's. I used to have one for an avatar. So search for pics, or buzz off.

McLaren F1. Version and color negotiable, but I guess the LM (which only came in orange) would be my favored one.

My money no object car when I win a lottery would be a Citroën DS Décapotable Usine (factory convertible)
79338

For a more economical and slightly more practical car it would be a Citroën Ami 6.
79339

For an even more practical, but still very technically interesting car a Citroën GS wagon. I already own the updated hatch version of this car, but I prefer the looks of the earlier car.

I just drove my new dream car.
The neighbor just pulled up in his new pride and joy, a meticulously restored 356 speedster.

It's slower and does not handle as well as my Miata. I'm sure the maintenance is a nightmare. I would trade in a second.

I'm too lazy to look for the pics.
But a '72 vette convertible. I want the 454 ci w/ factory installed 6 pack. '72 was the last year you could get the chrome bumper, large block, and a convertible in one package. Color preference would be hunter green with a tan interior, but really, that's only a preference. I'd even take primer gray for the color.

This thread needs some estrogen sensibility :p
I’ll probably continue having just bicycles until a reliable electric car with something like solar-power, a completely recyclable zinc-air fuel cell, nano-paper batteries, nanopaints to also capture solar energy and a carbon neutral bioplastic body comes along…..or something better.:)

It's slower and does not handle as well as my Miata. I'm sure the maintenance is a nightmare. I would trade in a second.Considering what those cost in that condition, and the aforementioned maintenance, you might look into a Speedster (or a 550!) kit car. Don't scoff, some of them are really nice.

I saw one in the parking lot of a car show once that, were it not for the (very funny) license plate, it'd be tough to tell that it was a fake, short of lifting the hood and looking for the VW Type 1 engine under there.

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/5481/img1316pn4.jpg

Stick a well-built engine in there, and have it converted to a 5-speed (replace the VW transaxle with a Porsche 901 unit), and it'd fly. :)

McLaren F1. Version and color negotiable, but I guess the LM (which only came in orange) would be my favored one. It's kinda a flat yellow-orange (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6c/McLaren_F1_LM.jpg/800px-McLaren_F1_LM.jpg):

I really prefer the burnt-orange color of the very last one made. The avocado-king had his out at Willow Springs a while back:

But I wouldn't call it my dream car. Can't have just ONE dream car, there's a different one for each purpose. I like speed! So for the track, only something like this would do:

Sadly I did not have $5000 at the time :o

My "dream car" changes just about every decade:

When I was a kid it was a '69 Pontiac GTO Judge in red-orange:
http://www.motorimania.it/manifestazioni/sportive/pontiac/images/Pontiac.Gto.Judge_1.jpg

In college it was either a Bugatti EB110 in silver:
http://www.qv500.com/Bugatti%20EB110%20P2%202.jpg
or a Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera in black:
http://www.onlyporsche.net/images/stories/2006/20060510_porsche_turbo_cab1.jpg

In my 20's and 30's it was a Volvo P1800ES, any color:
http://www.erikhagman.com/files/gimgs/8_volvop18es04023.jpg

But now, when the only time I drive is to move the car from one side of the street to the other for Alternate-Side Street Cleaning, and I live in a neighborhood where on-street parking space is at an absolute premium, my "dream car" is basically Anything That Fits...which means:
http://www.zcars.com.au/images/jcw-mini-cooper1.jpg
or
