Touring - Routes in Ohio.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Howdy. I am currently living in Columbus, OH and as it gets warmer here I would like to make some weekend bike trips around Ohio. Mainly Dayton (Huber Heights area), Cincinnati (Mason area) and Toledo. I was wondering if anyone new any good routes to any of these places or where I could go about finding them?
Also, I have a Specialized Allez Elite CR-Mo and a Specialized Hardrock. The Allez doesnt have rack mounts, doesnt like rough roads and doesn't seem like it would hold much gear. I will probably ride the Hardrock because of this. Anyone know what kind of panniers or other methods of transfering gear would be for this bike? I would prefer something not too expensive. Anyway to carry light gear on the Allez? All I really need is 2-3 days of summer clothes.
Thanks,
Brian

You may want to check out Columbus Outdoor Pursuits. They are the people who put on the GOBA ride every year. They have a series of on road bicycle route maps that would cover much of the places you were looking at. One that comes to mind is the Cardinal Trail. It goes from North of Columbus to just north of Dayton and Springfield and further west. There are also other routes that crisscross the Buckeye State. These also go to Toledo and and Cincinnati.
If you want to go to Cincinnati area you may want to check out the Little Miami Bike trail. It is a rail to trail that goes from Springfield to Milford, which is just outside of Cincinnati.
