I recently bought a Frame from ebay that is so light, at 2.14 pounds, I am afraid it will break. The frame builder is Morgul-Bismark and the material used is Easton Ultralite 7005 Aluminum.
I paid $250 US so if I had to sell it I think I could get at least what I paid.
Please help restore my confidence that this frame is not going to "break" in the next 5 years etc in the bb etcetera.
Are these light frames built for a short lifespan?
Any advice is appreciated :)

2.14 lbs doesnt really seem lower than most high end aluminum bikes. I have an aluminum frame that weighs about the same with well over 4,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. You shouldnt be too concerned, it was built to be ridden and thats what you should to make it happy.
No it wont break, just keep it and build it up.

Have you actually put the frame on a scale or did the builder tell you it weighed 2.14 pounds?
Most frames weigh in at substantially more than advertised.
You realize that a 2.14 pound frame is only 970 grams? To compare, here are some real world frame weights for "ultra light" frames
Bianchi 2002 EV4 49cm - 1110 grams
Cannondale 2004 Caad7 54cm - 1247 grams (w/out headset, seat collar, bottle cage bolts)
Colnago 2004 C50 54cm - 1410 grams (w/cage bolts, cable guide and seatcollar clamp)
Giant 2004 TCR Composite Medium - 1012 grams (w/ seat clamp + bottle cage bolts)
If your frame really weighs 970 grams and you only paid 250 bucks, you got a great deal but don't expect it to last forever. My guess is you bought a frame that in all likelihood weighs closer to 3 or 4 pounds and should last a really long time without issue.
Put it on a certified scale and get back to us.

I am going to buy a digital bathroom scale very soon. My regular scale says about 2 1/2 pounds but I dont think its very precise. A guy on cycle forums says his Bianci Ev (something) weighs only 1.8 pounds.

Dude, don't bother buying a digital bathroom scale. Those things are just as inaccurate. Just take the frame to a Canada post outlet (7-elevens have them all over town) and ask them to weigh it. Tell them you need to weigh it to get an idea of how much it will cost to send it overseas. They'll be more than happy to do it for you.

Post offices often have pretty accurate scales out in the part that is not locked after close. Just go after hours and weigh it.

People say a lot of things but that doesn't mean it's so. Just because some guy on the internet said his Bianchi EVxxx weighed in at 1.8 pounds doesn't make it true. I have a Bianchi EV2 and although it's light, it's not anywhere close to 2 pounds light. To get it down to a sub 3 pound weight, they had to make the tubes so thin that it's about as stiff as a wet noodle at the bottom bracket and head tubes.
A bathroom scale isn't nearly precise enough to get a real measurement of your frames weight.
If you really care, try looking at something like this LINK (http://www.rightonscales.com/web/ultra30.htm)

LOL... when I worked in a LBS there was a CPO two doors down. We ran back and forth weighing things all the time. Eventually they didn't even look up when I came in the door :D
I don't mean to sound offensive but, this is the second question you have asked on your Ebay purchase. Did you not do any research on the frame before you hit the bid button? I know what it's like to get caught up in the excitement of an auction but, I usually know what I'm bidding on :)
Again, no offense meant...

My son just sent his EV2 back to Bianchi. The seat tube was cracked just above the bottom bracket. He had less than a season worth of ridding / racing on it. He only weighs about 130 lbs. We have heard of this problem from many others. I think one should be very careful when selecting a light weight AL frame if not for racing only. A frame that weighs an extra pound but will last should be considered.

Yeah... I am actually selling that frame currently on ebay. hope to get about $250 us. I never actually rode it, or built it up. I went with Ti instead. At 3.2 lbs the Ti frame is a little heavier but i know it will last me (as long as it doesnt get stolen).

So far, you have never mentioned the size of the frame in your posting. I smaller size frame is lighter obviously.

The frame is 53 c-c and on my inaccurate (but roughly accurate) bathroom scale it weighs less than 2.3 lbs.
