Hey guys, what are some of the acronyms that you guys have misinterpreted/used incorrectly? Here are two of mine:
FSR - Full Suspension Rig (stands for "Future Shock Rear")
Stiction - Sticky Action (stands for "Static Friction")

WRONG! FSR does not stand for future shock rear. Its the suspension design that horst leitner came up with and specialized bought.
And stiction is not an acronym. While you're correct that is it the combining of two words, it is a word found in the dictionary
"One entry found for stiction.
Main Entry: stic·tion
Pronunciation: 'stik-sh&n
Function: noun
Etymology: static + friction
: the force required to cause one body in contact with another to begin to move
